Mr. Aitkinson - you are doing your best to divert attention from the issue ... retaining St. Clair Park. Why is it necessary for high dense buildings to be alongside the Woodville Railway station? Are these people not able to walk to the "hub" and thus save money on "obesity" studies. The road traffic will be chaotic..... the traffic is banked up at the railway crossing now when a train comes... and it takes 3 changes of traffic lights to get across Port Road.
The tenants of these high rise buildings will have to put up with constant road and train traffic .... ding, ding, ding,.... even the electrified tram will have to warn of the crossing.
All this "hub" can happen on the Actil site next to the railway line.
Leave the Park to the enjoyment of the community. It is pleasant to arrive at Woodville and have a Park ..... not high rise buildings .... as a destination.
I often catch the train with my granddaughter from Cheltenham to Woodville to enjoy the Park and then have a pleasant train ride back after the outing....

great post ~

what needs to be made clear to the politicians is that votes will not be going their way based on this ~ even if the alp is so entrenched in that area you cannot get them out, at least you'll be able to get out the councillors who voted for it in november 2010
